Diamond Rebozo Scarf

Handmade Mexican scarf woven from 100% sheep wool by artisans in Chiapas, Mexico. Artisans shear the sheep and card the wool using vintage carding brushes. It is then spun loosely into single ply yarn. This scarf features a traditional diamond design which is typical of mayan textiles and represents the universe and the journey of the sun each day. It is is woven using a foot pedal loom and the ends are tied into decorative tassels.
